FEATURED: The annual Lighting of the Letters takes place on Friday, February 15, 2019, on the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley campus in Edinburg outside of the Fieldhouse. The university and its School of Medicine were among the top Rio Grande Valley legislative priorities which received vital funding in the Texas state budget, which went into effect on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, according to Sen.
